DAVID GRENKE – ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

David Grenke is the founder of ThingsezIsee'm Dance/Theater and a former principal dancer for the Paul Taylor Dance Company. He has also danced for Dennis Wayne's Dancers and The Joffrey Concert Dancers, and he was a founding member of the Armitage Ballet. His choreography has been presented in New York at Lincoln Center, Dance Theatre Workshop's Fresh Track Series, The Guggenheim Museum's Works and Process Series, The Dia Center for the Arts, Pace University and Riverside Church. Outside New York his works have been performed at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, The American Dance Festival, The Cannes International Festival, Kaatsbaan International Festival, and on tours of Russia, Poland, Denmark, Taiwan and Argentina. Support for these tours has come from the U.S. Embassy, Trust for Mutual Understanding, and the Harkness Foundation. Grenke is Associate Professor of Dance at the University of California, Davis.

Mr. Grenke is a recipient of ADF's 1998 Doris Duke Award for new work, the 1997 Scripps/ADF Humphrey-Weidman-Limón Fellow for Choreography, and the Nora Kaye Award for dance. He participated in the American Dance Festival's 1997 International Choreographers Commissioning Program, where he was in residence creating new work on ADF dancers.

For the Paul Taylor Company, his choreography inspired the hit Funny Papers, where his work is represented in the first movement, which was filmed for PBS' "Dance in America" special The Wrecker's Ball. His choreography is also in the repertory of Mark Taylor's Pittsburgh Dance Alloy, The Baltimore School for the Arts and Rutgers University. A former faculty member at Rutgers University, Mr. Grenke is currently on the faculty at the Taylor School and teaches master classes both domestically and internationally. He has been guest faculty at Brigham Young University, SUNY Brockport, Denmark 's Oure Academy, and The Baltimore School for the Arts, among others.

KARL HERLINGER
was born and raised on the island of O'ahu, where at the age of 8 he starred in a Hawaiian Punch commercial with Donny and Marie Osmond. That led to a role on Hawaii 5-O as a friend of a friend of the kid who got kidnapped outside his elementary school. Karl got to wear shorts with zipper-pockets for that role. Karl was the voice of Exchange Orangeade at age 10. And then he decided he wanted to become a cartoonist or a concert tuba player. He graduated from UCLA's Theater Department, having been selected to go through the master's program his last year as an undergrad along with the master's students. While there, he won the Carol Burnett Musical Theater Comedy Award performing a Danny Kaye bit from the underrated Wonder Man. He's been a member of TICM since 1997, and in addition to New York seasons, has toured with them performing in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Dublin, Phonon, Warsaw, and Baltimore. Karl's recent NYC theater work includes: Adam Rapp's Mistral at the Drama League DirectorFest, the NY premiere of Stephen Belber's Transparency of Val, Imua Theater's 6-hour epic The Greeks, and Manhattan Ensemble Theater's inaugural production of The Idiot. Film work includes: Pretend (d. Julie Talen), Peephole (d. Edward Vilga) and Apocalypse Bop (d. Andrew Osbourne). Karl's currently developing a ventriloquism show, Vent. www.karlherlinger.com

MINDY COOPER
maintains an active career as both a Choreographer and performer. Choreography: Broadway - DRACULA: THE MUSICAL, WRONG MOUNTAIN, and the National Tour of TITANIC. Other choreography includes THE NEW BOZENA at the Hudson Theater in Los Angeles, HEART & SOUL in St. Petersburg, Russia, FAIR LIBERTY'S CALL, CHICAGO, THE SECRET ANNEX, SHENANDOAH, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, numerous benefits, commercials and industrials, as well as LAW & ORDER, CRIMINAL INTENT.

Performance: Broadway - CHICAGO (Original Revival), TITANIC (Original Cast), BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SONG & DANCE, and TENDERLOIN (Encores!). WALLIE WOLFGRUBER
began her dance training in Germany and Austria. At age fifteen, she passed her stage exam in dance with distinction at the Vienna State Theater. She danced in Munich with the Jessica Iwanson Dance Company, the National Theater and Dance Energy, which she also co-founded. In New York, she performed with the Rod Rogers Dance Company, Keith Young Dance, Donald Byrd/The Group and the Ohad Naharin Dance Company before becoming a principal member of the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. Her TV credits include German Television shows and MTV videos. Wolfgruber teaches, choreographs and performs internationally.

ERIC JIAJU LEE
is a painter and multimedia artist based in New York City. Exhibiting regularly, many of Mr. Lee's works belong to private and corporate collections internationally. He is recipient of numerous awards, and is currently an Artist In Residence with the Newark Museum. A professor of fine arts at the County College of Morris and Hudson County Community College, Mr. Lee is a guest lecturer at museums and institutions in the greater New York area. Mr. Lee is also a collaborator with innovative dance and theater companies such as ThingsezIsee'm, The Foundry, Red Dive and RIFF Performance Company.

MICHAEL WALL
is a composing and improvising musician. He is a graduate Rutgers University, NJ and has studied with Kenny Barron, Kenny Werner, and music for dance with Robert "Tigger" Benford. His most recent works with dance have been with David Dorfman, Lisa Race, Neta Pulvamacher, Brenda Angiels, and David Grenke. Michael is currently on faculty at The American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, and freelances in NYC.
